Story Preview

"The year is 2044. Martians are on their way to Earth. Will humanity survive? And if so....how?"

Our story takes place in the near future. Humanity has reached a tenuous peace so they can set their sights on larger issues. Nations have banded together under new Global Defense Forces to ready themselves for the oncoming threats of the future.

Will you lead one of these new Global Defense Forces to protect humanity? Or will you play as the mysterious Martians on their way to Earth? Or perhaps one of the smaller groups simply trying to make a profit amongst all the chaos?

Factions

Factions are the different groups and teams that will be fighting, competing, negotiating and cooperating with one another in an attempt to achieve their goals throughout the Mega Game. Below are the different types of Factions you can play as well as a preview of their special abilities and other useful info.

Global Defense Forces

Turtle Island
Defense Force

Special Abilities

  • Strong Unions - Start the game with an upgrade to construction speed

  • Two Theatre Model - Start the game with an upgrade to military production speed

  • Scientific Star Power - New Research projects have a high chance to increase morale

Team Size

  • 3 to 4 Players

Area of Influence:

  • North America

Unique Military Unit:

  • Gunship

Player Roles:

  • Lead Engineer

  • Military Commander

  • Chief Scientist

  • Project Director

Heart of
Africa

Special Abilities

  • Knowledge is a Garden - Your researchers can reroll low dice results each turn.

  • Community Celebration -Completing a new building has a higher chance to increase morale

  • All In - African territory under your control can produce military units without a base.

  • Howitzer Tank

Greater European
Coalition

Special Abilities

  • Learning is a Right For All - Start the game with an upgrade to research speed

  • Canal Deals - Navy units move more quickly through canals and don't spent money to do so

  • Space-Efficient Designs - Engineers can add two upgrades to each building instead of one

  • 3 to 4 Players

  • Europe

Unique Military Unit:

  • Legionnaire Soldier

Player Roles:

  • Lead Engineer

  • Military Commander

  • Chief Scientist

Pacific Asian
Alliance

Special Abilities

  • Robotics Programs - Begin with additional Scientists who excel at automation research

  • S.T.E.M. Excellency - Begin with additional Engineers who excel at building power plants

  • For the Nation & the People - Your military may reroll low dice results each turn

  • Truth, Virtue & Service - Your technicians may reroll low dice results each turn

  • South America

  • Armored Personnel Carrier (A.P.C.)

Guardians of 
Oceania

Special Abilities

  • Civilian Boat Donation - All your units (including mercenaries) can move on Sea Zones.
    Let Knowledge Flourish - Technicians begin with an upgrade to their build speed.
    Bearers of Hope - Overall chance to increase morale is slightly higher

  • Amphibious Armored Car (A.A.C.)

  • Mysterious Benefactors - Gain money each turn without having to control territory
